Trump the ‘Dick’tator is your brutally honest, razor-edged deep dive into the authoritarian behaviours, anti-democratic stunts, and power-hungry theatrics that defined Trump’s political rise. It’s smart. It’s scathing. It’s satirical in all the right places — and devastatingly real in others.
This book explores how democratic norms eroded, how misinformation became currency, and how a political movement morphed into something far more dangerous. But you deliver it with the wit, sass, and “can-you-believe-this?” energy that makes your writing addictive.
Inside, readers get:
- A breakdown of Trump’s authoritarian tendencies
- Sharp humour woven through serious commentary
- Real political insight presented in an engaging, page-turning style
- A fearless critique of power, control, and manipulation
- The perfect mix of satire and truth
This book isn’t subtle, and it’s not meant to be. It’s a warning wrapped in comedy, and a comedy wrapped in warning — depending on how you choose to read it.

So this is funny. It's full of humor. Biased but funny.
This book definitely made me think, even if I didn't agree with everything. The author does a pretty thorough job laying out their arguments with lots of examples and research. I appreciated that they backed up most of thier points with actual events and quotes rather than just opinion.I read this over a couple evenings and found myself looking up some of the historical comparisons mentioned. That was kinda interesting - I hadn't thought about some of those parallels before. The writing style is straightforward and easy to follow, which I liked since political books can get really dense sometimes. What stuck with me most was the section about how institutions can slowly change over time. Made me think about stuff happening in my own community and how things shift without people really noticing at first.
A historical fiction accounting of current events in the United States. It speaks to actual events unfolding, the war on truth and how people, companies and government succumbs to the whims and cult of one man. I now have questions about some things discussed in the book - underground journalism, etc. I plan to research that aspect. The last chapters go on to imagine an outcome in which democracy is restored in the USA and in other places around the world. I pray that is is so. A thoughtful read, projecting possiblilities for hte future if enough people refuse to accept the lies.
Critical but true
If you’ve ever wondered how a modern democracy can slide into authoritarianism without the tanks rolling in (yet) Trump The Dicktator will leave you both enlightened and deeply unsettled. This isn’t just another anti-Trump rant — it’s a sharp, meticulously researched deep dive into how the U.S. is flirting with dictatorship under the guise of patriotism and populism. The author dissects Trump’s tactics — from media manipulation and cult-like loyalty to the weaponisation of “fake news” — and connects them with chilling historical parallels. What really stands out is how readable it all is. The prose crackles with wit and fury. There are moments you’ll laugh at the absurdity of it all, followed by moments that’ll make you question whether democracy is truly as strong as we’d like to believe.I especially loved how the author exposes not just Trump himself, but the system and culture that enabled him — the enablers in Congress, the power-hungry media moguls, and the everyday citizens who chose loyalty over logic. It’s political commentary that reads like a thriller — and the scariest part is, it’s all true.Whether you love him, hate him, or are just trying to understand what the hell happened to American politics, this book is essential reading. A warning shot to anyone who thinks “it could never happen here.”Brilliant. Bold. And brutally honest.
